The Henkesh Brothers are a family of musicians from Cairo's Mohammed Ali Street, once the center for belly dance in Cairo. Khamis Henkesh became a famous tabla player working with Ahmed Adawia. His brother Reda is the lead drummer for Mohammed Mounir. Sayed Henkesh is the composer and accordion player, while his son Karim plays the violin. Ramadan Henkesh is also a top tier drummer in Cairo.
