a murmur of warblers swarmed towards southern staves
endemic disease redelivered today

the feed in the fowl’s full of corn infused product
mickey d’s corporate’s accused of misconduct
chickadees and cardinals contained to close quarters
important importers extorted at the border

take a deep breath and close your eyes
time doesn’t travel as the crow flies

the bald eagle drew a new map on olden lands
he’s got the whole globe in his golden hands
holding his prey in his taloned claws
harassing the heron without due cause
haranguing appraisals for a round of applause
