June Moon from Kick Rocks by Sam Douglass

Another of the songs I wrote in 2022 for Nur Ein, in this one I'm singing about how I felt at that point in the tournament and also in general. I've entered Nur Ein many times and every time I get annoyed that the judging is set up to be completely free form. I know going into it that I don't like that aspect of the tournament, and yet I keep entering it anyway. Oops! I think I had an idea to really lean into the circa 1990 alt rock loud quiet loud thing and I even used some Steve Albini recorded drum samples to dial in that sound.
