SHEESH by Said the Walrus

Said The Walrus is a three-man-band out of Greenville, Illinois comprised of Noah Bassett (Bass, Vocals), Jon (Jofi) Friedman (Drums), and Ben Isaacs (Guitar, Lead Vocals). While each member has their own personal influences, but as a group they look up to bands like Modern Baseball, The Cardboard Swords, the Hotelier, and The Wonder Years. The trio met during their first year of college and began playing music together quickly after. It wasn’t until the end of their first year that they became serious about becoming a band and writing originals, and once they came back to school for their second year they hit the ground running. Both Ben and Noah were writers throughout the course of their first album, “Sheesh”. The first song that was completed was “Texts”, which was quickly followed by “Two Days” and “The One About Jorgé”. In the middle of arranging the remaining songs, the three released an acoustic version of “Goodbye, Memory” on YouTube, which then later was arranged for a full band and put onto the album. “3X”, said as “Three Times”, and “Alone” both took a little more work to arrange to their liking, but have since become favorites of the band. Their Debut six song album, “Sheesh”, exemplifies Punk, Rock, and Indie roots that all come together as one that create the Said The Walrus sound.
