First Light by Russ Foreman and Chuck Hippert

Chuck and I met on a recording project in 2013 and really enjoyed playing music together. After the project ended we decided to meet just to play music for fun. Every month or so, we would meet on a Sunday and jam. I decided to record our jam sessions and then take them home to my studio to make something of them. This album is the first collection of some of these songs.

Turn up the volume: I believe in keeping dynamics in my mixes so if played next to other tracks that use loudness maximizers, the tracks might seem a little quieter. This is noticeable when playing downloaded tracks next to another track with a music player that does not set the level of tracks automatically (like the one in Bandcamp). Just turn it up - loudness can give one the impression that one track is better than another but when set to the same perceived loudness, the more dynamic track will most always sound better.
