Sound Quilts by Ross Hammond and Jon Raskin

Recorded during the Covid-19 Quarantine.

Saxophonist Jon Raskin has been a force in the California creative music scene for over 40 years. His work with the ROVA Saxophone Quartet and his own projects established him as a statesman of the arts. He's also my neighbor and a good friend. Jon is one of those friends that's like a Jedi who make you feel appreciative that they'll spend any time socializing or making music with you at all. I hold Jon on a high pedestal, which may or may not be fair. But I'm really glad we were able to make this music together, aided by technology. He also has a strong hat game.

I recorded three guitar tracks and sent them 7 blocks to Jon's house. He listened and improvised over them. We mixed it all together and it was done quickly.

Music can't be quarantined.
