Witnessing from Witnessing by Roseanna Ball

I wrote this song while on holiday in Egypt. I was lucky enough to be swimming in Hurghada (in a resort as I was still pretty terrified of deep water) and the coral and sea life was just incredible; I'd never seen anything like it.

Unfortunately there was also many cigarette butts, sauce sachets, bottle caps - you name it - on the sea floor and floating around it really brought it home to me in that moment that we as humans cause a lot of mindless damage.

So I wanted to capture what it felt like to experience that but also the thought that became ingrained in me that we really are witnesses to that world and we should remain as such.
