Fundamental Desire by Roseanna Ball

I kept this song to myself for many years because I wasn't sure it would be well received and then a couple years back I happened to do a gig around Halloween in a theatre and it just felt like the right time to share it. It went down so well in fact that in the proceeding weeks I recorded it.

I guess it's inspired by those ghostly 60s vocals you can hear on records from the time like Apache Tears, Johnny Cash or knights in white satin... I was just completely drawn in to the two chords and the fingerpicking pattern I was fiddling with at the time, the words just flowed like a riddle.
