Backyard Therapy by Rorr

Summer stretch,
working on my mental.
Dare to take a nap
it's never worth the final catch.
Breaking down my accomplishments,
beat them down with my ailments.
Never thought the time I'd have
would make them the perfect match.
Changes come quick,
the feelings come quicker,
and never would you think that shit
would make you so bitter.

Even the goods will get you dealing
with imposter syndrome.
And the bads will somehow
make you feel a lot fitter,
happier than when you become
a vigilante for your mind.
Bringing all your sins home,
locked inside your cranium.
Sleep will give you closure,
and you'll wake up
feeling born again.

Backyard therapy sessions
getting drunk at nightfall
maybe not the answers to
all your life's questions
are they worth the mentions?
Or are we playing hardball?

These nights either way
are traditional protocol.
