Slow Love by Juan.S.C

Slow Love is a track about a slow-burning love for bad tendencies. The music was carefully composed and produced by Juan with the help from some friends and family.

I've always loved soul, I love how deep the lyrics cut over some of the sweetest music. They're polar opposites but that's real life i suppose

I’m incredibly lucky to have amazingly talented friends. When it came to recording the track we started with Chris's amazing drum groove, then began to replace my demo sounds with session players. I knew that my housemate Jake (Guitar) and my good friend Dom (electric) listened and played loads of soul. My stepdad had played all the James Jameson bass parts with his function bands in New York, and I had grown up hearing those records around him so I knew he'd know what to play. My friend Eeyun Perkins is amazing at writing lyrics that have hidden meanings and my friend Joe has a beautiful falsetto voice that really lends itself to the genre.

I also had the privilege of giving my brass score to three of the most talented brass players in Medellin, we recorded effortlessly (despite my crappy scoring) at Merlin Producciones with help from in house engineer, Gabo. Merlin is the home of Puerto Candelaria and Juancho Valencia, a Multi Latin Grammy award-winning producer, and one of the kindest people around, he introduced me to all the players and pushed me to record in his studio.

As always, Joe Baker aka Joe Sonar aka Kreed, is the only person I trust to mix and master my music. I alway like bringing him less dancy stuff because I know he still has a massive love for it but doesn't get to do it so often.

I'm very proud of how the record came out, but as always I owe it to the network of incredible friends and family around me.
