I write a lot of companion songs, most of the songs on the first half of the album have a loose companion song on the second half of the album. This is Nightwatch's. If you've seen me irl you know the hair is big and or long usually, I usually cut for life events. After my family left and I decided to cut it, while walking into work I gave myself a scare cause my I didnt recognize my own shadow. I immediately wrote the first line "Theres a shadow hanging off of me, its a shape I dont recognize" then finished the rest when I got home that night.
