Parrotopia! by Rodney Slater's Parrots
At the grand old age of 75, self confessed 'late developer' Lord Rodney has joined forces with Michael 'Sir Henry at Rawlinson End' Livesley to gather together a pandemonium of Parrots featuring The Rutles' John ‘The Admiral’ Halsey and The Mekons' Susie Honeyman - to record Rodney Slater’s Parrots debut LP of brand spanking new material in the Shed Studio, here in deepest darkest Hampshire. Lord Rodney and Sir Michael have taken a look at the post-truth world we all now live in and decided to forego the pleasure of their Dutch hoes for a few months and left their kitchen gardens to offer us the antidote - PARROTOPIA! - a true state of mind.

In this world of virtual and programmed realities, what is true and what is false? What is an alternative fact? What became of the Reverend Gilbert Green? Who is Nigel Nosebag? and more importantly, why should you care? Well, dear reader. The burden of care is very much down to the individual Episcopalian. However, we strongly recommend you take Lord Rodney’s invitation, don your finest pair of Portland Reinforced Concrete Military Trousers and draw yourself a good quart or 3 of Old Parrots Lobster Stout for what promises to be a full onslaught of sensory perception.
You will marvel at the sound. You will gape at the grandour and, if you’re a greedy bugger, you’ll want two sniffs of the hallucinatory flatulent incantation of the Brothers Brassica. Intrigued? You should be. Frightened? Why not? It’s early, and there’s plenty left. So, pledge your allegiance today, and together, we SHALL make Parrotopia! grate again!
