Darkside

As I cling to illusion, hope has shut the door
Sadness creeps over my shoulders and settles like my grandmothers coat
Famitiar and dependable, I need to surrender to the light
I get down on my knees under the starry canopy of night.

Hope you don't see my darkside
Try to keep it hidden on the inside
Like to pretend that its not there
But it grows like a monster in the dark

Some of us are wired with too many negative vibes
Focused on what may go wrong we attract it into our lives
People see you as they always have stuck in a pattern of me
Feeling like a speck of matter being tossed around on the sea

Hope you don't see my darkside
Try to keep it hidden on the inside
Like to pretend that its not there
But it grows like a monster in the dark

That' not who I am, help me to find my Grace
Give me the strength and courage to put on my true face
To have faith in me and too believe
To have faith in thy and too believe
