Falsifiability by Rob Holden

I wanted to take a step back from my piece Abscission and started coming up with tone rows for what I was planning would be two pieces to try writing for piano. The tone row here is A, C#, E, B, D#, G#, G, D, F#, C, F, A#. I'm not sure why I changed my mind but the first of these has ended up being for Pierrot ensemble. Arguably piano is still the main instrument in this piece, so I guess I could still go with Piano Piece No.1, but then it would be pretty easy to demonstrate that this isn't a piece for piano and Falsifiability seems to suit it.
Maybe the next piece should be called Refutability or even All Swans are White.

During the 2020 lockdown I began scratching my musical itch using freeware I downloaded. It turned out to be the start of the most creative period of my musical life. My bandcamp page enables sharing work as I learn and develop but I also hope that performers might hear something that they would enjoy playing.
