Honest Woman from Finger Painting by Rob Findlay

The first song recorded and the second song written in the collection. A stream of consciousness lyric that began with my reflection of a particularly plain spoken friend. Learned and played on the first or second take by Terry & Carson with a genius lead guitar track by Peter Reeve who had literally walked in and plugged in about 2 minutes before we rolled on this one and didn’t even get a play-through. He hates it for the same reason I love it, he was so underprepared and flying by the seat of his pants and so starts cautiously and was just hitting his stride by the last section. This gives it a really jammed feel that I love. I aced a good rhythm sound here too with my old Princeton and I think, a Cole Clark Tele.
