"Illuminate" contains dance music for the rebellious. Composed and recorded in a primitive studio in British Columbia's Valhalla Mountains, vintage synthesizers, samples, drum machines, and human voice were used for the creation of this release. Some of what you will hear was captured in a single take and was left as originally recorded to preserve the raw integrity of the sound, while the mix itself uses a less-is-more approach to sidestep the industry standard of over processing. The resulting music hybridizes elements of early acid house, techno, and the spirit of 70s punk and no wave into a contemporary sound that is both politically and spiritually relevant to the here and now.
