Radical Centrist by Aussie Rob
The group’s new album, Radical Centrist, contains a harder edge than its first album, expressing the angst and internal turmoil one must feel identifying and grappling with the complex and sophisticated ideas present within the radical centrist ideology. This burgeoning intensity is brought out through a certain punk rock musical aesthetic, and like most punk rockers, their music and worldview will inevitably grow steadily and disappointingly more. This harder edge complements and brings out new sounds out of a jazz harmonic sensibility.
A sprinkling of earnest humanity and gentle moments can be heard throughout the album, giving hope that there is still a glimmer of passion left in their dulled and hollow core.
