Permutations by Roaming in Limbo

Hi, and welcome to the page of my official debut album, Permutations!

This album has been in the works for ages. Back in the summer of 2018, I moved house after having lived in the same place for practically my whole life, from a suburban neighbourhood to a rural cottage. I'd been making music as a side hobby for a few years but during the move music (listening and creating) became my passion, and I strived to make something I could share officially with the world through streaming services and the like.

But it took me until Halloween 2020 to finish and release anything, and until January/February 2021 before I was ready to work on this album. I did attempt to make music in this span of time, but nothing good came of it. In fact, there are over 750 demos from this period that will probably never see the light of day. ''Something Good'' got its name from the fact that I thought it would end up as another non-starter, but it actually turned out to pave the way for the rest of this album.

I'm turning 18 soon, and with this album I wanted to deconstruct my youth and everything that happened in my life which got me to where I am at the time of this release. Listening back to songs I loved growing up, the songs my parents loved when they were growing up, the songs I listened to and the movies I watched during pivotal points of my life, and recontextualising them. I've always felt like I had trouble truly expressing myself through what I say, do and create, but I hope that this album can provide a gateway into my thought processes and what it's like to be me. If you're not interested, that's completely fine! And if you're just interested in finding music to enjoy and connect with, I hope this album can do that for you.
