Good Things from Reflex by Rick Ferriss

I was thinking about how we select what we think is important, and how some people seem to get addicted to bad news. The news outlets know that an underlying force for news consumption is fear: people want to know about potential threats. But for most people, the real world is a constant flux of favorable and unfavorable occurrences. We don’t need to make up some fantasy that explains the unexplainable. We can choose to pay attention to positive things that are happening in our present situation, rather than negative things that close off our options.
