Carol She's from Reflex by Rick Ferriss
Back in the late 70s, I visited a former band mate who was having a hard time. He drank beer, smoked cigarettes and watched tv while his wife, Carol, fixed supper, tended to a toddler and diapered a baby. He seemed to be under a cloud. And if every cloud has a silver lining, Carol was the un-recognized silver lining of his cloud. I was into free-form lyric writing, and the verses sort of came together without firm meaning. Years later, after various moves and divorces, Carol and I met again and eventually married. The lyrics then seemed to have other meanings.
