Recorded on two non-consecutive days during Bagyong (typhoon) Crising in Quezon City, Philippines. The trio managed a live performance between the two recording dates, but several other performances were cancelled. Christian Bucher and Rick Countryman had just flown in July 14 from one week in Taiwan, after performing in Taipei, Hualien, Taichung, Tainan, and Hsinchu. They went directly into studio on July 15, 2025 with Simon Tan for the first day of recordings, marking 13 years of performing and recording together.

Tago Jazz club chose to open their doors, despite heavy rains and flooding throughout Metro Manila, and having cancelled the previous night. The trio performed on July 20, to a surprising number of people who braved the storm, then went to the studio again July 21, the next day. The typhoon nullified attempts at any plans that evening for celebrating with others before Christian departed July 22, 2025 to Singapore. The trio did manage to get across the street for a dinner. While Christian’s flight was only delayed a few hours, it would be 5 days before Rick could get a bus out of the city.
