Live [unedited] by Caravan

Nicolas Sinclair, Dave's son, recently discovered an unedited recording from the mixing desk of the 1990 Bedrock TV performance by Caravan. Portions of this concert were previously released by Demon Records in 1993.

"To make this clear please note that this release is audio taken from video that was discovered on a mouldy VHS 'worktape' that had been dubbed from the original U-matic lo-band tapes at Central TV. It is not likely those U-matic tapes or the full master exist anymore, we are lucky for Richard Sinclair agreeing to return to the studios for the mixing sessions in October that year and taking that VHS tape home with him.

The audio is full of gremlins from tape damage and general VHS poorness, but I think you will find that after nearly 35 years, to hear these lost tracks from that night is perhaps a strange feeling, if you knew the original CD and video releases, but also a feeling of bliss to get that little bit more..."

After the recording Richard went back and cleaned up some of the singing and mixing, but those of us who are completists will of course want to hear it all, including the five songs that didn't make the cut.
