With their third album "Initiation," the Richard Ebert Quartet continues its musical evolution, inviting listeners into a world of innovative sounds and free improvisation. Active since 2012, the band has performed both in Germany and internationally, with concerts in Austria and Slovenia among others, steadily carving out a unique space in the modern jazz landscape.
"Initiation" is more than just an album – it’s an invitation to engage in a musical dialogue that bridges tradition and innovation. The quartet crafts an atmosphere where every note is alive, charged with emotional intensity and expressive freedom.
The current lineup features Jo Aldinger on piano, Kevin Knödler on double bass, Patrick Neumann on drums and Richard Ebert – founder of the group – on saxophone. Together, they create a sound that is both technically refined and deeply moving.
