Realising that the only people I need are the ones close to me, not someone you think you might connect with online just because they’re LGBTQIA+, doesn’t work for me, disappointment isn’t good enough anymore.
My real community are the ones there with me as I continue to focus on my mental health and cut out social media.
Although I will always purchase music or books or any form of media where proceeds go to helping transgender people or people who are suffering with dementia.
Punk to me is about not needing approval or acceptance, so I continue to live by them values while trying to grow and help anyone if the time came they ever needed it.
