I’m doing something bad to the world
I go to work, I make it worse
It’s sad to observe
That we’re people second and labels first
Whose only way to survive

It’s creating divides
That lead to bigotry and apathy

I build walls, sell bridges
Close doors, support averages
Make sure all’s quantifiable
And our differences irreconcilable

I sell wisdom, provide imperialism
I sell literacy, teach white supremacy
And adding to all this frustration
My face is my qualification

Don’t wanna seethe in a cage
I wanna be more than one page
All you see is just a frame
But you and me, we all have names

We have to look past the boxes that we’re taught
It’s not hard
It’s just that the thought of the world a mess might seem dangerous
We’re intimidated how it’s complicated
So the only way to educate
