Lyrics

If the world starts turning west
I will run like an athlete
In the opposite direction
Underneath magnetic sheets

I took fifty or so apples
And left them on the porch
With an open mind kept
Feeling trapped in my own home

If the world starts turning east
I’ll abstain with the priests
Regardless of our mutual affection
Underneath synthetic sheets

I saw ignorance on screen
And laughed in secrecy
Lit a candle afterwards
Then smashed that evil screen

I tear the pears apart
Out of fear that we would part
Within the concrete walls
With an empty shopping cart

In the mirror, I had stared
Felt like I’m staring into a wall
Barely recognize myself
Thinking about comics and salt

There’s a mirror on the stairs
I dip my eyes in crates of salt
You better organize yourself
Come, take a step into the wall

When we stumble around
Pledge to crumble the sound
There’s a rumble all over town
We end up crumbled all over the ground

I took fifty or so apples
And left them on the porch
With an open mind kept
Feeling trapped in my own home

I saw ignorance on screen
And laughed in secrecy
Lit a candle afterwards
Then smashed that evil screen

I tear the pears apart
Out of fear that we would part
Within the concrete walls
With an empty shopping cart
