Svalbard by Grizzly Steppe
Commissioned in early 2019, the epic glacial soundscape 'Svalbard' was recorded live during installation on December 21st, 2019. After the arduous trek into the arctic circle, renowned electronic musicians Mark Spybey and David Thrussell meticulously constructed their performance rig of analogue machines and hand-built devices within the caverns of a famous Spitzbergen facility and performed a multi-roomed diffusion of frost-bitten tones and seismic sub-bass.
Recorded, edited and mastered by Anatoly Grinberg, this unique artifact is now available in a strictly limited edition CD presented in genuine hermetically sealed specimen bags.
