Confidential Recipe & Harvey McKay collaborate for the fi rst time on ‘Bad Man’. Having released respective solo EPs for Rekids-off shoot RSPX, the duo pair up for a two-tracker this July.
Venezuela’s Confi dential Recipe & Scottish artist Harvey McKay come back to Radio Slave’s techno-leaning RSPX off shoot with their fi rst collaboration, the ‘Bad Man’ EP, arriving 18th July 2025. The release, drawing inspiration from the Chicagoan Dance Mania label, opens with the title track, a syncopated techno slammer driven by booming kicks, fi zzing hi-hats, and up vocal chops. Fragmented samples and textured stabs inject raw energy, building tension before the drop hits hard. Going second, ‘Move It’ is a relentless deep techno cut with rolling bass, sonar-like synth pulses, and jacked-up percussion, engineered for maximum eff ect on the dancefl oor, already supported by Mark Broom, Tasha & Elisa Bee.
“Working with Harvey on these tracks was a total honor and the connection between our styles felt perfect, we had a lot of fun on the process and we couldn’t be more happy to release this project on the mighty RSPX” - Confi dential Recipe
“We had started chatting as we both loved each other's music and ended up chatting quite a lot and bouncing music back and forth, and I felt we had a very similar musical intuition, but with a diff erent twist from both sides. So it made sense to put our heads together to see what we came up with, super happy with the result and great fun in the process, and we both are super happy it's on RSPX as we feel it's a great home for it.” - Harvey McKay
