Provenance: Hymnal by Regna Racer

I think all the time about the Mary Ruefle poem Provenance. I especially think about the poem's closing lines:

"I hated childhood
I hate adulthood
And I love being alive."

I also think all the time about how easy it is to not be working on something and also how easy it is to be working on nothing all the time.

This is the first in a hopeful series. The series is named for a Mary Ruefle poem and I hope that it will give me the chance to excavate the sounds and melodies that would've otherwise slid past me. It turns out I need structure.
