Cocoon by Reets
Written during a spell of the lockdown blues, 'Cocoon' describes my own struggle with mental health when grief, worry and inertia seem to be the dominating forces in the world.
Depression can feel both comfortable in its familiarity, yet cold in its callousness...
But, it is just a phase, and if you are willing to undergo each 'emotional chrysalis' you will find yourself emerging transformed on the other side - stronger and richer in your wisdom than before.

Old familiar, can’t break out of you
Dark, Gloomy old cocoon
I keep wishing I’ll be better soon
I woke up early this morning
And even made my bed
