shut.
Back to that artist salon I was describing earlier… one week someone picked a book down off of the shelf behind them… in our home there is always a bookshelf loaded with books within arm’s reach… and she read a line from wherever the book fell open.
I have no memory of which book it was, but I know what corner the book came from and there we have shelves primarily filled with a near complete collection of old Max Brand westerns. The sentence my friend read involved an upset child complaining of a tattling sister… so that was the catalyst for this song.
This is also semi-biographical - I must confess to an inability to keep a secret. I am notorious for blurting out whatever is most inappropriate at equally inappropriate times. Friends have accepted this in how and what they confide. Yoda voice…“the imp of the perverse is strong in this one…”
