Avalon (Remixes) by Foamek

Following his psychedelic opus ON DOING/BEING ORDINARY, Foamek returns with a "single" for the album cut AVALON, which runs no less than 78 minutes, packed like a car full of stoned teenagers with tape hiss blanketed techno tangents. Foamek himself turns in two alternate mixes of Avalon, backed by three non-album tracks (one of which was previously issued on a charity compilation) that further expand his unique voice with bittersweet melodies, nostalgic sound palette and an undeniable dance beat. Closing out the set is a 17 minute Coppice Halifax remix that warps, detunes and recontextualizes Avalon into a pastoral Summer feelgood, and for a special treat, listeners who pick up the limited edition CD-R will also get a second CH remix (clocking in at 34 minutes!) that recalls influences like Yagya, Pub and the Chain Reaction catalogue.
