We were all invited
But me and my self were undecided
If we were going up or down

Me myself and I we would always stand divided
If we can’t find common ground
We’ll be stuck in this old town

You were right about a change I didn’t listen anyway
I was stuck inside my head its safer there than what’s instead
All the tales that we were told bout growing up and getting bold
They’re just shadows in the light, I lift my voice up to the night

If freedom was a mask and I wore it, I’d do everything to make it fit

Dark corners are a place to hide

And there’s the note that makes the sound come out all shy I get all caught up in
my throat but that’s just fine the more I sing I make it mine
