“Y Cocatrice” is the newest EP from Welsh dungeon synth composer Altar of Moss. Recorded directly to tape on vintage Portasound keyboards, Altar of Moss captures the spirit of dark dungeon music with crepuscular tones set against triumphant melodies swathed in tape hiss. Thematically, the six tracks here speak to Welsh folklore and paint a picture of rural life in the early middle ages before English and French colonialism.
The Demo Series presents a hand-numbered edition of 30 transparent tapes with sticker labels and hand-cut and folded 4-panel J-card.
