“Weathered Dominions” is the second release from Australian fantasy ambient artist, Valagnor. Notably darker than the debut, “The Warmth of Distant Firelight”, “Weathered Dominions” employs old Casio melodies interspersed with bass guitar and field recordings to create shadowy winter landscapes; longing vignettes of resignation and loss. Valagnor notes, “The kind of winter I wanted to articulate on Weathered Dominions was more the never-ending rain, sludging dirt, grey and overcast days, a distinct lack of the sun and the kind of cold air that cuts through you when you go outside or go walking.”
The Demo Series presents a hand-numbered edition of 30 transparent tapes with sticker labels and hand-cut and folded 4-panel J-card.
