Hallucinogenic, hypothermic compositions that are alternately disorienting and lucid transmit an instinct of doom as “Terminal Burrow” burns slowly into a mysterious haze. The total surrender to the album’s grave of breathtaking frequencies and cauterizing melodies conjures a deeply reflexive intensity, like a glorious final meditation.
