Born and raised in Tokyo, Rastiv is a one-of-a-kind producer of sampling-based hip-hop.
Originally writing lyrics since Rastiv was 10 years old, he naturally bought records and samplers, and started producing beats in 2010.Never raised in a wealthy family, he put all the money he would normally spend on fashion and entertainment into music.He worked day and night in a room filled with records to create music and continued to hone his unique sensibilities.
Rastiv’s music is loyal to hip-hop. But it's more than just boom-bap, it's mysterious, epic, and sometimes aggressive. Also, like a magician, his musicality is ever-changing. 90's hip hop, soulful and melodic beats, sophisticated one-loop, mysterious and dark drumming, cosmic funk, the depth of his music drawers is immeasurable.
That's because Rastiv listened to countless records such as soul, funk, rare groove, jazz, reggae, and dance classics, danced in clubs, and built his own beats.
Also, Tokyo raised Rastiv to be original. The emotional oriental history gave him a delicate sense of sampling, while the urban environment pushed him to explore new music. It is neither trendy nor nostalgic. Rastiv is cool like a samurai and extremely stoic.
The newly released trilogy "Fantastiv", "Unfulfilled" and "Love Finale" are exciting albums filled with his essence.
