Maresia Dub by A.T. Pharaoh with Racoon's Band

Maresia Dub — Postais da Ilha da Magia (Florianópolis) is a coastal lo-fi reggae/dub postcard from Brazil’s “Ilha da Magia.” Built around one-drop and rockers pockets (70–76 BPM), it blends warm melodica leads, muted upstroke rhythm guitar on the off-beats, bubble organ, round sub-bass and a bed of spring reverb + Space-Echo delays. Each piece maps a place and a mood—Lagoa da Conceição at dusk, the Joaquina dunes by moonlight, the Farol da Barra glow, Campeche’s shoreline, the night lights of the Hercílio Luz bridge—always soft, hypnotic and designed to loop for study, writing and deep focus.

Discreet field recordings (shoreline hush, vento sul, sand steps, distant buoy bells) sit at the noise floor to add texture without pulling attention. The mix embraces gentle tape flutter and vinyl crackle for warmth; dynamics are preserved—no brickwalling—so the low end breathes like tide.
