It’s unimaginable for me, this herd mentality
You’re all the same, we’re all to blame and nothing will ever change
This is all slowly going down to the same proverbial drain
Stupidity reigns, great promises fade out and die in vain

It somehow never ceases to amaze me
In the time of instant information we’re somehow swayed by idiocracy
You’d think at this point our evolution would shine
Somehow we’re put in reverse speeding into decline

I’d wish to see that we could do better than this today
Reality somehow smacks me down and chases my hope away
Like a bully in high school pushing all sense away again
Grooming a polished turd, straight into the abyss with no plan

We’re on the brink of collapse but diverted astray
Nothing matters outside your comfort zone any way
We fail again and fail again to see with our open eyes
Like a drug addict falling back for another shot, shot-of-lies
