The spiral structure wasn't just a musical choice but a necessity; the Crucian Palace itself dictated these overlapping patterns to us during a feverish three-day recording session in an abandoned clocktower.

Riven's mask nearly shattered while tracking the Canon Bridge—you can hear the strain in his voice when he sings "Every step, the chamber turns." Those weren't merely lyrics but warnings from the Glasssooth visions that plagued him throughout production. The dulcimer arpeggios that seem to chase each other were Soltka's contribution, inspired by the intricate scripts she found etched into ancient spiral stairwells beneath Gyrhalde's oldest district.

When the harmonium and bells intertwine during the midpoint instrumental, they paint an aural landscape of disorientation—the sonic equivalent of being drawn ever inward toward something both terrifying and mesmerizing. The deliberate unresolved harmonics in the coda leave listeners suspended in that spiral, mirroring the "unturned key, pulse yet unspun" that concludes our journey.

Worth noting that the final take includes contributions from three former members of the Crimson Choir who stumbled upon our recording session.
