Notes from the artist: Analog DAWn is the story of the implied conflict between analog and digital technologies. Analog purists choose “team A.” Digital natives form up as “team D.” Although the vast majority may not care, the competition is fierce. the outcome never predictable. what happens here is not a compromise but evolution.

The forces at work move and diffuse the boundaries between the analog and digital realms. Has analog yet met its match with virtualization? have our machines allowed us the capacity to properly emulate the purity and chaos of analog?

Analog DAWn is my first exploration using all virtual analog synthesis, embracing the new tools while attempting to emulate the qualities of the past. Have a listen and decide for yourself.
