The "Victory Moments" Album is the debut of Puente as music creator. Puente is an ultra 'late bloomer' musician, composer and improviser.
Puente started playing the piano at age 6, composing songs since 14 years old and recording them on amateur equipment.
The fear of playing piano in public kept Puente in the closet all those decades. Gradually, sharing the love & joy of playing piano music for others melted the fear away.

In 2014, when Puente was 60, his brother Pablo Aguilar arranged for Puente's first professional music studio recording session. On October 23, 2014 at Victory Studios, Burbank, CA, for three hours, Puente played the 1909 Steinway piano while Alberto Lopez of Quetzal engineered the sound.

Puente went into the studio with a play list of 10 original songs. Puente breathed into his heart, got out of the way and let his higher self take over. What happened next was an unexpected explosion of improvisations!

The 3 hour studio session, birthed the "Victory Moments" album with 14 tracks selected by Puente. The tracks are not complete songs in themselves. Rather, the tracks represent a medley, panoramic glimmers of a colorful bouquet of song moods and styles.

Heart felt gratitude and hugs to Pablo and Alberto for their expertise, care and support on this project.
