Disorganized Thoughts by Psychotic Surge

This is a research in anti-music incorporating two sound machines, a type of flute and improvised phrases. All the composition is improvised around the concept of that pre-during-post moment of psychosis where thoughts get disorganized and breakdown.

This album revolves around those moments where it's difficult to sound coherent, while you brain correlates every possible input with your life memories, fears and supercharges all with the most paranoid type of creativity.

The drum machine and synths give the feeling of stability of reality, sometimes crumbling and breaking, repetitive and mundane, while at the same type defying the classic musical structure we all know and like. It;s not what we are used to listen.

The xaphoon plays the part of the intrusive thoughts, sometimes subtle, sometimes whistling and over sounding the base of the track.

The voice comes as an addendum. Telling about the first hand experience of having moments of disorganized thought and how reality shatters and fades out, giving space to this hyper-reality of the psychotic surge.

Blasphemy plays with a well known kids song and brings the darkness that even a simples known verse can get while having a rush in your brain.

Copulas de copas talks about love among paranoia, it brings references to diverse esoteric and spiritual concepts, while not forgetting the word play it can elicit specially to people with the right references. Or is it just in my brain?

Sometimes I don't know what's real and what's thought. Some times I don't know if I'm dreaming or awake.

Unpredictable compositions made with a drum machine, a fm synthesizer and a hawaiian flute recorded on a cellphone.

That full ambient sound, a musical field recording, with it's background noises, over heard conversations and so on and so forth.

Psychotic surge explores the realm of the anti-musical. The grey area between music, with rhythm and structure, and the chaotic.
