Neptune by Psamathe

'Neptune' is a tri-part Suite of Drone/Minimalist/Dark-Ambient movements for Choir, Flute Ensemble, Sine wave, Percussion and Electronic elements.

The aim was to create an all-encompassing submergence into a transcendental and ethereal sound-world, characterized by wide 'panoramic' sounds, dissonance, consonance, harmony and stasis; reflecting the hyperborean, endless, and celestial atmospheres invoked by Neptune.

Inspired by the Minimalist/Ambient compositions of Brian Eno, Robert Rich, William Basinski, Phil Thornton and Jeremy Soule, as well as Dark-Ambient works by Burzum, Paysage D'Hiver, Svartsinn, Ulver and Urfaust.
