Premier Strut by Posey Royale

Posey Royale: Premier Strut features 13 tunes that span from the 1920’s through the 1970’s. The tracks draw heavy inspiration from the swing era and have been lovingly arranged for people, plants, and animals who like to dance.

Our collection of arrangements spotlights some of history’s powerhouse jazz composers / innovators: Lil Hardin Armstrong; Duke Ellington; Mildred Bailey; Ella Fitzgerald; Lionel Hampton; Walter Bishop Sr., Fats Waller, and more - and showcases their work alongside musical pioneers from the 1950’s - 70’s: Mort Garson, Les Paul, and more.

We’ll present direct transcriptions of these works alongside splendid re-imaginings of their original concepts.
