Astral Projections by Porcelain Image
Astral Projections is an older album that I had previously released underground in 2013. As such I've revamped it and decided to do an updated release. The concept behind it delves into the space between sleep and wake where the delirious, subconscious mind comes to life. It's a strange place where odd thoughts, feelings, and even waking nightmares can occur. The tracks on this album are musical compositions of the concepts I've considered while in this state of mind. Often my tracks are composed when I'm in a state of delirium due to sleep deprivation. I let the music take me where it leads and build my beats one layer at a time. The album art, which is my own original art, is a further compliment to the work as it features a series I've made as of recent. The series is called "Bathed in Dreams" and features beautiful, elegant models depicting their interpretive takes on the same concepts that inspired this album. I've always been fascinated by this state of mind and the idea of sleep paralysis. It's so intriguing, strange, scary, dark, and yet it's human and that makes it beautiful.

Porcelain Image is an experimental Trip Hop/Dark Ambient/ Industrial project started in 2008 on Chicago’s south side. The project employs a variety of stylistic elements that give each of the songs their own unique vibe while playing on the best elements of each sub genre. The end product is something that’s familiar but unique.
