The river rose over night.
There's nothing for me here.
It washed away both our lives.
It took us out to lake,
floating hand in hand.
You just want one more night.

And so do I.

Everyone you know is gonna say,
that what I did was such a shame.
If they only knew.
Nothing ever goes the way it's planned,
like when you took the other hand,
the other man.
Over me.

They took me back to the car,
for some questioning.
I never got very far, away.
But I'm never coming back,
or see the sun again.
All they want are the answers.

And so do I.

You will never tell another lie,
or cut my heart out with your eyes,
ever again.
I only gave you what I thought was best,
and all you gave me back was,
empathy.
Everyone we know is gonna say,
that you deserved this watery grave.
I swear I'll make them see.
