Lyrics

In an instant Garth’s hammer crashes down
Locke barely skirts the meteoric blow
The stone floor fractures and shards fly around
He’d be wet bone if he had been too slow

A disappointed glare, Locke flatly shakes his head
“It is your path that lead to you winding up dead”
He quickly draws his sword, strikes Garth across the chest
Dents unblemished armor, “fair work, but not my best”

At once Garth thinks back to White Robe
Locke’s wicked aura feels similar
But Garth is sure that he is fierce enough
And vows to never again defer
Decades of wrath incurred

Reaching, Garth strikes the stone ceiling with his hammer
Loosed rocks and dust cause Locke’s eyes to divert
Garth lunges, his huge hammer batters as a ram
With massive force like that of a rupturing dam

Ornate furniture goes to splinters
Garth’s grasp grows ever thinner
Locke taunts and feints about
But his poise starts to run out

Any blow could be fatal
This encounter unstable
Any blow could be fatal
This encounter unstable

Garth charges through Locke’s sword, lets himself be impaled
Grabs hold of his foe’s throat, for his king his shall avail
But suddenly he stops, a mage steps from the shadows
One hand pointed at Garth, the other holds a tome aglow

Kaegan mends Garth’s armor and wounds
Conjures a large gold nugget into his hand
He rewrites everything Garth’s seen here
With visions of mines lucrative and grand

Locke grins as Garth tells Wade that everything is fine
“We’ll rest and then depart tomorrow at first light”
The soldiers find their quarters, now satisfied
Both unaware that Garth’s mind had been plied
