XIN by THE FIFTH

THE FIFTH is a project conceived by the percussionist Francesco Cigana, that splits the same approach and attitude in two distinct formations and makes them converge in one powerful live set.
The two trios, with Francesco as a common member, rehearse focusing on the idea of exploration, repetition and form. They do meet for the very first time just at the concert.
It’s a project that Francesco wants to continue with other members and musicians, always with the same formula: a period of rehearsal and research with each trio, separately, and one unifying moment with all five musicians in a unique live performance.
Xin is the first chapter of the journey.
