In his latest releases, 2020's "aphid" and the mini-album "jerry garcia ii" Ramirez showcases a more experimental side than his earlier work, through a heaping assortment of punchy short songs. There's the infectious lofi deadpan snark of "busybee", the pumping indie-cheese-pop of "wanted to be good", the frenetic country rhythms of "going to the movies", the house infused electro-rock of "stuck inside(house)", and the lynchian dream jazz of "scooby, the gang, and me".
While on the whole it may not be for everyone, keep listening, there's certainly something for everyone here.
